SCA, (formerly the Economic Opportunity Cabinet of Schuylkill County) is a private non-profit Community Action Agency that has been in operation since 1965.
The mission of this organization is to promote self-sufficiency among persons of low income.
SCA utilizes an outcome based, results oriented approach to all programs administered by the organization.
Programming ranges from those meeting life's most basic needs such as food and shelter to long term programs in the area of case management, job placement, and homeownership.
SCA's primary location is in the City of Pottsville, with outreach offices in regions throughout Schuylkill County, including Tamaqua, Mahanoy City, and Shenandoah.
