Schuylkill Community Action (SCA),
in cooperation with the Pottsville Housing Authority and the Schuylkill
County Housing Authority is again providing the BLAST Program to
children living in communities throughout Schuylkill County.
A team of Community Interaction Workers will be visiting the City of Pottsville and Housing Authority playgrounds and five (5) public housing communities managed by the Schuylkill County Housing Authority.
Children will participate in fun games and activities which includes playing with a giant parachute and watching a live puppet show.
Children will also exercise their creativity by participating in the "Happy Healthy Me" Poster.
In addition to the support received by the Pottsville and Schuylkill Housing Authorities, Pottsville Project Fit enables this year's Pottsville program to offer fun lessons on health and nutrition while encouraging children to make exercise a daily activity.
BLAST is one of the many programs provided during the Pottsville Housing Authority's Summer Recreation Program.
